March 17, 2020 In connection with the difficult epidemiological situation associated with the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID - 19), as well as the incoming questions from natural and legal persons on the procedures for applicants and certification bodies for manufactured products in countries with an unfavorable epidemiological situation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, together with the Federal Accreditation Service, have developed special recommendations. The proposals of the business community, as well as measures to minimize the negative consequences caused by the spread of COVID-19, in the field of certification, were discussed on March 12, 2020 at a meeting at the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia with the participation representatives of product manufacturer associations, certification bodies and federal executive bodies. By means of recommendations, we inform certification bodies and applicants about the mandatory certification work carried out during the COVID-19 distribution period, about the possibility of postponing the control period of inspections by 6 months, about the measures and actions taken in case of expiry of the serial certificate, as well as product certification issued for the first time.
