HACCP certification (HACCP). Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000)
The GOST R ISO 22000-2007 (ISO 22000: 2005) standard defines the requirements for a food safety management system for companies involved in the food chain (farms; food producers; producers of alcoholic beverages, juices, beverages; producers and suppliers of raw materials, ingredients, food additives; manufacturers and suppliers of packaging materials)
The Technical Regulations of the Customs Union TP CU 021/2011 'ON FOOD SAFETY' (approved by Decision of the Customs Union Commission n. 880 of 12.09.2011) introduced the requirement: products, the manufacturer must develop, implement and maintain procedures based on HACCP principles '(Chapter 3, Article 10).
Therefore, the release of safe products is a mandatory requirement controlled by federal laws, technical regulations, GOST and other regulatory and legal acts of the Russian Federation.
Successful implementation of a food safety management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22000 provides the company with the following benefits:
the possibility of certification of the company's food safety management system for compliance with international requirements;
a management system based on internationally recognized principles;
the use of preventive management measures rather than overdue controls;
documentary confirmation of production safety;
the possibility for the company to enter international markets;
advantages in case of participation in tenders;
increase consumer confidence in your products and, consequently, increase the competitiveness of your products.
Experience shows that the development and implementation of a system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22000 is more effective in those enterprises where there is already a quality management system implemented in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001.
