This is a document that contains information on cryptographic (cryptographic) algorithms and key lengths. They confirm that this wireless cryptographic device can be used on the territory of the Russian Federation and is registered with the FSB of the Russian Federation.

The FSB notification has been in force on the territory of the Customs Union since 1 January 2010. It was implemented with Decision of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) n. 19 of November 27, 2009. The list of goods on which import restrictions or prohibitions are imposed in the territory of the CU has been approved.

These restrictions apply to the import of the following goods:

Informatic tecnology; communication systems; radio electronics; cryptographic equipment; radioelectronic means (RES); high frequency devices (HFD).

FSB notification is required for importing:

coding tools;
means of electronic digital signature;
means to create key documents;
software and hardware for protecting against false information;
software and hardware encryption and others.

The registration of the notification is applied by the importer for the import of the following groups of goods:

mobile cellular communications equipment;
equipment for encrypting financial and banking transactions;
wireless equipment for encryption in the radio channel (Wi-Fi, BT and others);

personal smart cards;
encryption tools for operating systems;
reception of broadcasting equipment;
products for which the encryption function is blocked by the manufacturer and others.

The notification can be issued by the manufacturer himself. To complete the notification, you need to access the information resource of the Customs Union or the FSB, where there is a form for such a document. Next, you need to register the generated document with the FSB.

There is another way to register the FSB notification: contact a certification center. The registration of the notification takes place after the submission of the following documents:

Data of the manufacturer and of the applicant.
Power of attorney of the manufacturer (when the applicant and the manufacturer are different).
A copy of the card of a Russian company.
Certified copies of the registration documentation of a Russian company.
Technical description and device algorithms.
